LETTER

“Cognitive liberties” is a growing field that developed in response to a type of neurotechnology that is invasive and non-consensual.  Many Americans, including ethicists, attorneys, scientists, and human rights activists, are concerned that this technology infringes upon many individual rights, not least the right to free thought. Other countries are beginning to recognize the use of this technology as a human rights violation.

The American Cognitive Liberties Association exists to create public,
governmental and institutional awareness of neurological weapons technology and its effect on individuals and their cognitive liberties. Victims include former members of the military, family members of those in the military, a former NSA employee, a former CIA employee and a biophysicist who worked on the early development of this technology.

The ACLA demands a congressional investigation into this phenomenon.  We demand that these weapons (however classified) are exposed, along with the military research laboratories, defense contractors and research corporations that develop them. We demand that this program cease immediately. And we demand restitution for victims.
